CGDI WORKSHOP:

Data Integration and Tools for Framework Data

Objective:

A strategic workshop to address and resolve technical issues. The objective will be to look at tools to support the use of CGDI framework data and the integration of jurisdictional datasets. The intended participants include spatial data suppliers (public and private), users, academia, software vendors, data integrators, and any interested parties who deal with these types of issues.

DAY 1: Problem Definition

  • Introduction and workshop goals. (S. Latour)
  • CGDI/framework data background and issues (T. Evangelatos)
  • Discussion on short and long term vision for data use, sharing and maintenance. (All)
  • Identify categories of tools and individual tools.(P.Schut, D.Boutin)

  • - identify typical uses, problems addressed
    - identify existing tools and solutions
    - set priorities and time frames
     
  • Determine rules by which tools should be built. (S. Latour)
  • which standards, technologies, etc.
