RFQ issued for CGDI Interoperability Pilot
April 12 2007 - May 02 2007
On April 12, 2007, GeoConnections announced a Request for Quotation (RFQ) that provides industry with an opportunity to participate in the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) Interoperability Pilot. This project, developed in collaboration with provincial and federal partners, is to test better mechanisms for the distribution and updating of framework data, which would provide users with access to the most current and authoritative data, thereby helping to maintain currency, avoid versioning and minimize duplication.
This project is being executed under the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Interoperability Program-a global, collaborative, hands-on engineering and testing program. In OGC's Interoperability Initiatives, international teams of technology providers work together to solve specific geoprocessing interoperability problems posed by Initiative sponsors.
