2007 Announcement of Opportunity for CGDI User Communities

GeoConnections seeks to cost-share on projects that use strong, strategic partnerships to enhance decision-making and provide benefits for clearly identified end-users whom are engaged through project partnerships. Additional preference will be given to strategically important projects that are related to more than one of the GeoConnections priority issues and are implemented in an operational manner with clear plans for enhancement and maintenance of the results.
The project proponent is required to be a Canadian organization with a clear mandate to undertake the proposed project and, must be willing to cost-share the project expenses. Except for thematic data projects, the proponent must be an end-user or enabler of geospatial information and/or tools that make use of it. Aboriginal projects must involve at least one Aboriginal organization.
Preference will be given to proponents that have a clear need and a mandate to share and/or use shared information.
The results of the proposed project must impact more than one organization within one of GeoConnections identified priority issues, and the project must have the potential to increase the use of the CGDI
